The Puppet and Story Works was invited to perform on the  Fairfax, VA public access cable channel program "Healthy Food, Happy You," a vegetarian-focused cooking and healthy eating show, for its August, 2011 airing. The show's producer and director, Jorge Mera, is hoping to use our puppets, and particularly Dotti's ventriloquism, to help get more children interested in eating and cooking vegetarian foods.

Enjoy!

OUR PUPPETRY
The Puppet and Story Works uses the art of puppetry and storytelling to create joy and laughter... and to help young folks to grow emotionally and spiritually. Our zany puppets also teach a few things about living more simply and caring for our planet.

Play and laughter are serious business for kids - it's how they learn and grow into happy, satisfied adults. Our shows are funny, quirky, and full of little lessons in living that children enjoy and remember.

There are also mysteries and surprises that stimulate kids to think and draw their own conclusions, and  we use audience participation to reinforce these learnings so they can recall and use them in real-life.

Audiences
We produce shows for public and private elementary schools, libraries, and other community organizations on broad themes such as: building self-esteem and social skills; coping with feelings; school safety; caring for the environment; and living simply.

Our puppet ministry performs for church services, Sunday schools, vacation bible schools, day care programs, and retreats using a variety of Christian education, faithful living, and creation care themes.
