Christian Simple Living

The Puppet and Story Works puppet ministry is a Bible-based, Christian puppet troupe, which through humor, storytelling, and audience participation, shares the Lord's love and his "truths that transform" to help our audiences "get off the floor and learn to soar." Our puppet family includes people, critters, wacky birds, and a "wild thing," all stumbling through life's little lessons toward that transformation into what God wants them to become. These shows are designed for Sunday Schools, worship services, retreats, vacation Bible schools, and special events.

How to get through the day in a more Christian way
Sticks And Stones
tells the story of a brother and sister who use words that hurt each
other. Through a musical dream, which they experience together, they
learn that words can hurt as well as heal, and that people can
change how they talk to each other.
Caterpillar Boy's Xtreme Makeover
is about a little caterpillar in Spring Creek Woods, envious of his
neighbors, and desperate to feel special, learns that God made him just
the way he is for a good reason, and just isn't quite finished with him
yet - focus is on accepting ourselves as God made us and developing the
gifts He's given us.
Our Almost For His Highest
is a collection of skits that take a humorous look at our reluctance to
share what we have with The Church and with others. These titles
include: Pew Potato; You Can't Take it With you;
First Merciful FiduciaryTrust; Percentages, and Bus Stop
Samaritan. This show works best for families and children from 3rd
grade through high school.
The Giveaway is based on the Native American give-away tradition. It shows how the best gift anyone can give reconciles us “two-leggeds” with The Creator, and restores our sense of caring and purpose for ourselves, the "four leggeds," "the finned ones," and "those who fly." It is a deeply meaningful show for any season of the year, but is particularly appropriate as a Christmas gift for our souls.

Helping Kids Follow Jesus into a simpler, more
sustainable and fulfilling life
Many congregations are concerned about care of God's creation, and being responsible stewards of all that He has given us - hard to do in the chaotic 21st Century! In response to this growing concern, TPSW is producing a series of puppet shows that focus on what it means to care for all that we have been given including our property, finances, neighbors, and the environment we live in. The over-arching theme of the series is "living simply as Christ intended" with particular attention to the Sermon on the Mount, and all that might mean for our way of living in this Century.
Who is Killing
Spring Creek? described
elsewhere on this site, was
originally conceived as the first show in this series, but was first
performed for a secular audience . It is now available for church-based
organizations, with a strong Christian message supporting care of the
environment.
